Hollylodge Thoroughbreds is a family owned stud, commencing operations at Kyneton in 1998 on a small basis with one broodmare, which then increased to a small band of our own mares. As the business grew we took on our first stallion, 6 time Group One winner DURBRIDGE.
In 2002 we needed more room to expand our business and decided to head to the North East of Victoria to Avenel and purchased our current property the original Chatswood Stud, then Grand Lodge and now HOLLYLODGE.
The stud has a history of great stallions inc, RED GOD and PLUSH, DISTORTED HUMOR and many more. Red God and Plush are both buried alongside the stallion paddocks on the property.

The facilities include a 12 box stable complex, 2 fully equipped vet areas, 2 parade rings, round yard, 8 floodlit foaling yards and fully self contained foaling room above the yards, 10 post and rail day yards with shelters, 4 stallion yards, 6 horse walker and all situated on 156 acres located half way between Seymour and Nagambie in the heart of the North East of Victoria, prime Thoroughbred Country.
Hollylodge offers permanent and temporary agistment for mares, foaling down services, walk ons to outside studs, sales preparation, racehorse spelling (off season), Tesio matings to our stallions. With 24 Hour supervision of all horses on the stud we are supported by the Avenel Equine Clinic and 4 full time specialist broodmare vets located within 10 mins of the property.
