The stallion is a proven group winner and was never unplaced, securing two wins and two placings from four career starts.
Honours List smashed his rivals on debut when winning the Maiden Stakes (7f - 1400m) at Gowran Park in Ireland as a two-year old in 2000. He won the event by a widening seven lengths, with another 4.5 lengths to the third-placed horse, another 3.5 lengths to fourth, and an astounding 12 lengths to the fifth-placed horse.
Honours List consolidated his win three weeks later in the Group 3 Railway Stakes (6f - 1200m) at The Curragh. He won hands down by two lengths, with another 3.5 lengths to third place.
Trainer Aiden O'Brien had such an opinion of Honours List as a two year old that he decided to take him to the US for the Breeder's Cup meeting over his stable mates. Honours List was entered in the Group 2 Iroquois Stakes but unfortunately suffered a career ending injury when becoming cast in the starting gates.

The Prix de la Salamandre and the Grand Criterium were unfortunately run on rain-effected surfaces. Typical of the Danehill progeny, this surface did not suit Honours List yet he still managed to place at the elite level.
Timeform described Honours List as one of the top two-year-olds of his year. With a rating of 110, he was rated superior to Galileo, Black Minnaloushe, Imagine, Vinnie Roe, King Charlemagne, Hemmingway and Milan. |
